VT-Roadster AMB1
The VT-Roadster AMB1 is a JEDEC compliant Advanced Memory Buffer device for use in Fully Buffered DIMM (FB-DIMM) applications. Diablo’s advanced memory buffer (AMB) device is an essential building block for next-generation, high-bandwidth applications such as servers, workstations and communications equipment, which require increased performance and large memory capacities. A key attribute of the FB-DIMM channel architecture is the high-speed, serial, point-to-point connection between the memory controller and modules on the channel. This new architecture allows future processor designs to incorporate an increasing number of parallel memory channels while simultaneously facilitating board designs and routing.

- Supports DDR2-533, DDR2-667, DDR2-800 memory speeds
- Exceeds all JEDEC performance specifications up to and including DDR2-800 rates, with power consumption ratings significantly below maximum permitted levels
- Highly configurable analog design allows for at-speed margin testing
- Programmable latency settings for optimized system performance and/or maximum interoperability
- Ultra-low power configurations and operating modes that can be used to aggressively reduce power in memory sub-system
